Privacy Policy

Who we are

NOGADA (노가다) is a job-tracking app for construction trades — small builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, tilers, and other sole-trader and small-business owners. It is published as an independent app by the developer.

What we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work for you:

• Your email address — for sign-in and to keep your data attached to your account.
• Business identity you enter during setup — business name, phone, ABN — so the app can render your invoices and quotes correctly.
• Data you enter — projects, clients, crew members, daily rates, work logs, timesheet entries, quotes, invoices, materials, photos, notes, and other business records you create.
• Crew assignments from Google Calendar — only when you explicitly grant calendar access. We read event titles + dates from the calendar account you authorise; we never write to your calendar and never read events outside the date window the app is currently displaying.
• Receipt photos and material descriptions — when you upload a receipt, the image is stored in your account so the app can show it back to you.

We do not collect:

• Your contacts
• Your real-time location
• Your browsing history
• Device identifiers used for advertising
• Any analytics or behavioural-tracking data

How we store it

Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore (Australia / asia-southeast1 region). Each user's data lives at a separate, security-rule-isolated path (users/{your-uid}/...). Photos are stored in Firebase Storage.

We use Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in (email + password). We use Google's OAuth when you choose to connect your Google Calendar.

When you upload a receipt, we send the image to Anthropic's Claude API for one-shot text extraction (so we can show the parsed amount + supplier back to you). The image is sent over HTTPS, processed for the response, and not retained by Anthropic for training. See Anthropic's API privacy for details.

Who can see your data

Only you, and crew members you explicitly link to your account.

• Firebase security rules enforce that only the signed-in user matching the data's owner can read or write that data.
• When a crew member signs up using "I'm crew" and links to your business via your email, they can read (but not delete) the projects + assignments + photos you've shared with them through their assigned work. They cannot see your invoices, quotes, or financial data.
• The developer cannot read your jobs, invoices, photos, or any other data through normal app channels.

The Firebase service operator (Google) and Anthropic have technical access to encrypted infrastructure as part of providing their services, governed by their respective privacy policies.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing purposes.

Your choices

• Edit your data: any time in the app.
• Export your data: open the app → More → Export to download your records.
• Delete your data: email skylinecarpentry@hotmail.com with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
• Disconnect Google Calendar: open the app → More → Disconnect Calendar. The events already imported stay; no further syncing happens.
• Disable notifications: in your device Settings.

Children

NOGADA is intended for working adults running construction businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update this page and notify users via the app at next sign-in.
